Road Runners Turn to Boniface Again

2019-05-21

After nearly 2 decades 2 million miles of reliable service from his first Boniface vehicle, Mark at Road Runners was only too happy to come back to Boniface to order another new vehicle as part of a large fleet regeneration program.  After much thought and discussion the equipment that Mark decided to go for was the Boniface 5T VLA, with its extremely low loading angle and single button operation, the equipment provides ease of use and reliability.  In addition, the excellent payload, quiet operation and smooth deployment of the equipment would meet all of Mark’s needs from everyday recovery of large vans or cars right through to the movement of prestige vehicles.  The chassis of choice for Mark was a 12T MAN TGL Day Cab which Boniface assisted with the procurement of and arranged the cab painting and signwriting which culminated in a great looking vehicle.

The specification of the VLA equipment was also tailored to meet Mark’s needs with 2 pairs of LED work lights, chassis stowed wrecker kit and wheel skates, LED illuminated stowage lockers, LED beacon with stop tail repeaters, side winching posts, 2T second car lift with adjustable width settings and 12v & 24v jump sockets mounted within the front nearside locker. All of these were in addition to the standard rugged aluminum bed, single button remote control, 8000lb hydraulic winch, which can be manually adjusted allowing the operator to maintain a straight pull when winching or loading onto the bed, fully galvanized subframe and tipping frame all which provide years of rust-free operation. With safety always on his mind Mark also opted for LED strobes mounted at the front and rear of the vehicle and on the front of the tilt frame, which means that when the bed is deployed the flashing lights are in constant view high in the air, whilst all types of vehicles are being loaded onto the bed. Once you begin lowering the bed and the tilt frame strobes become less visible; the strobes at the rear of the vehicle are again exposed continuing to provide as much protection to the driver as possible.
