New Boniface T45 Heads Wigston Car Breakers
2026-05-29
It was way back in 2017 that Nigel from Wigston car Breakers took delivery of his first ever T35 transporter based on a Fiat chassis cab. Since then, it has performed well and had proven to be an extremely tough, durable and versatile truck that could be driven by anyone with a car license.
After 9 years of use Nigel decided it was time to upgrade to a new one, however the T35 had been discontinued due to chassis and manufacturer issues. Fortunately, Boniface had introduced their new T45 transporter based on the MAN TGE chassis and were displaying it at last years Tow Show. After looking at the new product, Nigel decided to go ahead and order one.
The T45 is very similar in construction to the previous T35, the main difference being the existing chassis is retained. Operation is identical to the T35, a single push button to deploy the body and another single button to put the bed back on. Both body and winch functions are controlled by a radio remote control which is stored in cab mounted holder. As with most Boniface products, backup controls are in place should anything happen to the radio remote ensuring the operator is always able to get the job done.
At just 3.5t GVW, the T45 is not speed restricted meaning that jobs can be attended quickly and, unlike larger vehicles, it does not require a tachograph – even when moving road worthy vehicles or other goods. Being a small vehicle the T45 is maneuverable and also very fuel efficient which is becoming ever more important in the current economic climate.
