Boniface Recoverer Trident for Slades Garage

Established in 1978, Slades Garage is an independent, family-run garage and recovery company based in Chard, Somerset. Their services include general workshop facilities, MOT testing, vehicle sales and of course breakdown and recovery.  With his meticulous attention to detail and his determination to provide the very best customer experience, Patrick Slade has grown his team, business and his impressive fleet of exceptionally well-maintained vehicles, to where they are today.

Slade’s latest addition to the fleet is this very impressive 6x4 Scania 770S fitted with Boniface Recoverer Trident equipment and Deluxe stainless-steel bodywork.  From the outset, Patrick was very involved with the build, working closely with the Boniface Sales and Engineering teams to ensure the specification of the chassis and equipment was exactly what he needed.  Throughout the build process, regular communication via WhatsApp messages, photographs, telephone calls and visits to the factory ensured that all tools, accessories and ancillary equipment were meticulously and ergonomically stowed within the stainless-steel bodywork ensuring that the vehicle was not only good to look at, but exceptionally practical and easy to use. After paint the vehicle returned to the Boniface Finishing Shop and Patrick made his final visit to the factory.  A few more items were discussed and subsequently added to the build, along with the lighting and finishing touches – all of which were completed just in time for the Tow Show where this impressive truck was proudly displayed on the Boniface stand.

The Recoverer Trident has been carefully engineered to provide exceptional recovery capability using its heavy-duty top boom whilst being light enough to be installed onto a 3-axle vehicle and used for everyday lift and tow work via the integrated underlift.  The equipment features two dual speed heavy-duty hydraulic winches, and a choice of standard or side extending rear stiff legs with spades/feet – both of which ensure that the vehicle is well anchored and stable during heavy winching or lifting operations. Boniface currently have three Maxireach lowline booms available all of which are compatible with the Recoverer Trident and each offering unique benefits. The Slades vehicle pictured is fitted with the ‘K’ variant which is the longest, lowest and most powerful boom produced by Boniface.
