Wakefield Autos are a very well-known and long-established recovery operator based in Boston Lincolnshire who run a extremely clean and tidy fleet of light and heavy recovery vehicles. Their first purchase from Boniface was back in 1996 when they purchased a Concept 2000 heavy recovery unit on a Scania 142E.  They were first introduced to the Champion product range 17 years ago when they purchased a new Mitsubishi Canter with a 3.5t Champion aluminium slidebed and over the following years purchased several more as they proved to be a robust and reliable product that served their needs well.

It will come as no surprise that their latest acquisition pictured here is also a Champion slidebed. This time fitted to a new 7t Iveco crew cab which has been popular with Operators all over the country due to its good payload and fuel economy.  The Champion slidebed comes as standard with galvanized subframe and tilt frame, sliding hydraulic winch, soft eye ratchet straps and a rear tow bar.  Like most operators, Wakefield Autos have tailored the specification to their exact requirements adding motor cycle frame, wheel skates, radio remote control, wrecker kit and extra lockers to the build thus ensuring that the vehicle is as versatile as possible.
