Furness Car & Commercials were recently in the market for a new slidebed and after considering many potential suppliers chose Boniface to build their new vehicle. Pictured here is the finished vehicle sporting the new Furness Car & Commercials livery - one of only two in the fleet.  Like many operators up and down the country, they were looking for a vehicle that was compact and maneuverable, fuel efficient to help keep running costs to a minimum and also have a good payload and excellent loading angle.  The New Boniface 3t capacity VLA was fitted to the latest Iveco Daily chassis and easily met these requirements. With a bed length of 6.1m the new VLA easily copes with large cars and 4X4’s and with its low loading angle, sports cars and prestige vehicles can be loaded without fear of damage.   Like the larger 5t capacity VLA, the 3t version has an exceptionally strong and capable deck which benefits from a sliding hydraulic winch that can be locked in position at either side of the bed to provide a straight pull on the casualty’s towing eye, or can be left to float and self-centre to minimize stress on the towing eye of the casualty. The VLA also benefits from a galvanized subframe which promotes long equipment life and is available with either a steel or aluminium deck. As standard, the VLA comes with full radio remote control and is operated by a single push button which automatically controls the tilt as well as the on/off features. For additional peace of mind, the product comes with lever controls which are housed in a locker at the rear of the vehicle.
