Boniface
manufacture a wide range of side winching equipment at their factory in
Thetford and bring into the
UK
a variety of equipment that can be used in conjunction with transporters
and recovery equipment. The most recent addition to the range are the SP
8000 and 20,000, the smaller of the two when combined with a car carrier
provides operators with a versatility that enables them to undertake all
manner of recovery and accident work as well as the usual car
transportation. They feature Ramsey or DP winches and are available with
either manual or hydraulic stabiliser legs; the operation is user
friendly allowing the operator to extend a leg, manually or
hydraulically to the side of the recovery truck, then using the
centrally mounted winch reeve the cable to right or left and after
attachment to a casualty side winching can be safely undertaken. This
type of equipment is often combined with medium duty towing equipment
which adds to the winching performance, this often can enable users of
this size of equipment to undertake tasks normally much heavier trucks
carry out. Boniface will exhibit this equipment at recovery exhibitions
throughout the year along with the heavy range of side winching
products.
Another
Boniface product which has been available for many years is the
Sidewinder; this is combined with all the Boniface heavy duty products,
Interstater, Recoverer and more recently the Rotator. This was designed
in the
UK
initially to compliment high performance towing vehicles, it improves
the recovery performance and adds weight to a towing vehicle right where
it’s needed, at the front, increasing stability. Boniface have
combined this product with Rotators which in some instances has
increased the amount of winches on a vehicle to six, these trucks have
become some of the most powerful recovery units in the world with
phenomenal ability to grab hold of a overturned truck and right it,
clearing blocked roads in as short a time as possible. The Sidewinder
can be fitted with either one or two 30,000 lb winches each with 50
metres of 20 mm diameter cable, thoroughly tested over the years by both
Boniface engineers and recovery operators the product is sold around the
world.
